Heeeeeeello White Ashians,

We hope you all had a wonderful summer. It’s been a very busy and productive one for us here in White Ash. SDCC was amazing and NYCC was incredible.  Being able to have a presence at the two biggest comic book conventions in America, is something Conor, Fin and I only dreamed about when we launched Chapter One on Kickstarter. But thanks to all of our stupendous backers (that's you), there we were and here we are.

We’ll be having some news for you very shortly about our partnership with Scout Comics, but today we wanted to talk about the next chapter… or chapters in the White Ash Universe. Conor has just about wrapped up his work on The Game and is getting ready to dive back into the adventures of Aleck, Lillian, Katlyn and Thane (not to mention a slew of newcomers). To that end, we’re readying another Kickstarter that should be launching in early November.

We’re very fortunate to have such a loyal fanbase (thank you). Your continued support enables us to contemplate doing more ambitious Kickstarters. But we also want to be mindful about how you like to get your White Ash issues. So we’d love a little feedback as we plan our launch. Mainly, should this next KS be just for Chapter Five? Or should it be for Five and Six? And how excited are you for our next campaign?

To make taking our survey worth your while, anyone who answers our questions will be entered into a drawing for one of the signed and numbered editions of the White Ash Hardcover.

Here are the Pros and Con’s for a combined Kickstarter.

PRO:

• Cheaper than backing two individual campaigns. (Especially for overseas backers)
• Conors rolls right from Chapter Five to Chapter Six, so Chapter Six would be finished sooner.

CON:

• More expensive base pledge (you're pledging for 2 books VS 1).
• Standard shipping will be when both books are done, so a longer wait to get the print copy of Chapter Five.
• Higher campaign goal, so there is a little more risk involved in trying to raise that much money.

NOTE:  PDF’s will be sent as the books are finished, so you’ll be able to read Chapter Five as soon as it’s done regardless of the campaign approach we decide on.

NOTE: 2 If we do a combined campaign, there will be an add-on "deluxe shipping" option in BackerKit to have Chapter Five mailed as soon as it's finished.

Hello White Ashians,

We have been shipping... and shipping... and shipping.  Almost all of the books are now in the mail.  If you are a domestic backer and don't have your hardcover by Saturday, shoot us a DM and we'll track it down for you.  International backers, hopefully all of you should have your books in the next three weeks.  If you don't have them by then, also shoot us a DM and we'll see what we can find out for you.

There is one exception, and we apologize for the  delay, if you have a book with a SKETCH SIGNATURE in it those are still being completed.  Conor hopes to have all of those done by the end of the week, but it might be early next week before some of them hit the post office.

Hey White Ashians,

A lot of you should have your books by now.  For the rest, they are in the mail or about to go out.  Unless some natural disaster strikes, the plan is to have everything in the mail by next Friday.

Thank you again to all of you who supported The Game.  It was amazing to see so many familiar names on the backer's list.  More White Ash is coming too.  We'll let you know here first, but tentatively circle the end of September/ beginning of October to get the next couple of installments in the lives of Aleck, Lillian, Katlyn, Thane, etc.

Shipping has BEGUN!

Hello White Ashians,

Thank you to all of you who stopped by to see us in San Diego.  It's always an amazing thrill to meet you all in person.  Conor and I can't tell you how much it meant each time one of you said hello.  You can feel a little lost in the sea of craziness that's SDCC. But knowing that so many White Ashians exist in the world made every exhausting minute worthwhile.  

And now for the headline, the BOOKS HAVE BEGUN SHIPPING.  I wish I could have gotten a few out before I raced down to San Diego.  But I'm doing my best to make up for it, now that I'm back in Los Angeles.  This just hit the post office this am.

The good news is the books look so incredibly good.  We set out to make a beautiful volume that you'd be proud to display. On that front we, and our printing partners at Printlore, have delivered. You're going to love how these turned out.  The slightly bad news is they're taking a little longer to pack than I anticipated. 

Between the cardboard and the bubblewrap... it's a bit time consuming.  But as you'll soon see, so worth it.  So here's the updated shipping timeline going forward.  My goal is to mail out all the books in the next two to three weeks.  

So if you're a domestic backer you should expect to receive your rewards sometime in the next four weeks.  (Some will be arriving as soon as next week).

If you're an international backer, let's be conservative and say sometime in the next six to seven weeks.  (But I'm hoping the timeline will be closer to four to five weeks).

THE BOOKS ARE HERE!!!

Hello White Ashians,

Tuesday, hours before I was to head down to San Diego Comic Con to meet Conor and set up our booth, a large truck pulled up and dropped off three pallets of books outside my place.

I had assumed that the delivery person would bring them to my door, up several flights of stairs.  

I assumed wrong.

Anyway, thankfully my back survived. But due to the last minute nature of the delivery, I wasn't able to get any out before I left town.  But now I'm back.  Shipment commences today.  And you'll be as thrilled as I am to see that the books look beautiful. 

If you like what you see, you'll like them even better in person (as my camera isn't doing them justice) I'll keep you posted on shipping as it progresses.  I'm going to try to get as many out in the next week as I possibly can.

In the meantime, if you haven't yet checked out our new campaign for The Game, it's now fully funded and heading towards the first stretch goal.  

It has some amazing rewards including this variant cover by Jenn St-Onge.
